Dreamweaver or Contribute for content...

Which application is beater for content management and editing of static pages?

Dreamweaver or Contribute for content...

You would normally use both. They work together. The developer/administrator would use Dreamweaver (but must have contribute installed) and user/editors would use Contribute.

However, it's not a very great system for content management. I tried this out with a client a year ago and we got frustrated with it as each user/editor must check pages out and then back in, blocking others from editing them.

Static pages cannot be created or managed with Contribute. Contribute only works for pages that have already been built and have a Contribute editable region set up in them.

Thank you for your responce!

聽聽聽聽聽 Currently our web page is built in classic asp. We allow our marketing department to update the static elements such as images, text, Shockwave files, etc via Contribute, while a hand full of us in a seperate department take care of our asp and dynamic content development with Microsoft Visual Studio. We're trying to streamline the maintainence procedures we currently have in place. Any sugestions or input from other peoples experiences with Dreamweaver and or Contribute would be much appreciated.
