In my reading, %26lt;mx:Image%26gt; drags along a

SWF loader by default.

If autoload=''false'' do I still get a SWF loader?

mx:Image subclasses mx:SWFLoader. 90% of its code lives in SWFLoader so yes, it has to drag it along.
